Owner-safe checks

What to check first

  1. 01

What to do when Lippert shows Bad Calibration

Bad Calibration is not the same as an RV that simply feels unlevel. The Ground Control 3.0 troubleshooting table treats this message as sensor calibration values outside their accepted range and directs replacement of the controller.

01

Confirm the exact message

Photograph the touch pad showing Bad Calibrationand the controller label. Do not substitute instructions for Auto Level Fail, Excess Angle, or Internal Sensor.

02

Stop automatic leveling

Park and support the RV using the manufacturer's normal procedure. Never work beneath an RV supported only by its leveling jacks.

03

Do not repeat zero-point calibration

Zero-point calibration is used when the coach's level reference needs adjustment. It does not repair sensor values that the controller reports as out of range.

04

Arrange controller diagnosis

Give the technician the message, controller part number, RV make and model, and any events that occurred immediately before the fault appeared.
